Kevin Burke

One of the world’s finest Irish fiddlers and recipient of a National Heritage Fellowship, Kevin has called Portland home for the last 30 years.

Betsy Branch

A versatile musician who loves to explore multiple genres of music, Betsy regularly performs for traditional dances across the country and maintains a teaching studio here in Portland. She is also the Associate Music Director of the Portland Revels.

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, raised both there and in the Pacific Northwest, Blossom creates music that stirs the soul.  Called one of Portland’s “most compelling artists” by the Willamette Week, her Neo-Soul songs draw on her Caribbean heritage fused with modern pop and hip-hop sensibilities to create a distinctly intoxicating musical stew.

Freddy Vilches

Originally from Santiago, Chile, Freddy is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who performs music that spans the diverse traditions of Latin America. He is a professor of both music and Latin American Literature at Lewis and Clark College.

Inés Voglar Belgique

Violinist Inés Voglar Belgique was born to a Slovenian family in Venezuela, and her early music training was in the famed “El Sistema” program there. She continued her musical studies in the US, and joined the Oregon Symphony in 2004.  Inés also performs with Fear No Music, conducts the Young String Ensemble of the Portland Youth Philharmonic, and has been a passionate advocate for BRAVO since our first year.

Join us at CROSSING BORDERS to hear these accomplished and inspiring performers alongside our BRAVO students, playing music from Ireland, Trinidad, and Venezuela.
