BRAVO has had some amazing musical opportunities, but even by our elevated standards this night will be a special one.
Paquito D’Rivera is a living legend in the world of Latin jazz, winning 14 Grammy awards and playing around the world with Dizzy Gillespie and other giants of jazz. He is the inspiration for the name of our first ensemble at BRAVO Cesar Chavez, the D’Rivera Winds. Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Darrell Grant and Portland State University, our students will have the incredible opportunity to share the stage with Mr. D’Rivera during his upcoming residency. BRAVO will play on the concert alongside Mr. D’Rivera, Mr. Grant, and the PSU Big Band. It will be unforgettable and you will want to be there.
