Cellist Alban Gerhardt performs with BRAVO

German cello star joins members of the Oregon Symphony at BRAVO concert

Violinists Ines Voglar and Vali Phillips of the Oregon Symphony will join “Mr. Alban” for a FREE community concert with 4th grade cellist Adajion (above) and the BRAVO Rosa Parks String Orchestra and Chorus.

International cello superstar Alban Gerhardt visited BRAVO as a Guest Artist last spring and was so impressed with our students that he suggested a richer collaboration for his return visit. The concert program will include Bach solo cello repertoire, a Brahms theme played by a cello ensemble, a new arrangement of La Bella Cubana, a Vivaldi concerto for two violins and cello, and selections by Mahler, Smetana, Wieniawski, and more.
