Tired of the same ol’ boring fundraisers? We hear you! So we decided to add some sparkle and pizzazz to our 2026 gala.

We’re throwing a party at the beautiful Kaul Auditorium at Reed College with the one and only Mr. Showmanship himself, Liberace! Ok. Not the real Liberace. (He died back in 1987.) Our Liberace is Portland’s own David Saffert. When David isn’t playing piano for the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, hosting a sing-along piano bar, releasing albums, performing on All Classical, or one of his countless other piano endeavors, he can be seen performing all across the country as Liberace. His attention to detail, witty and humorous stage persona, and spectacular piano performance has David in demand in venues from coast to coast.

You may have have seen David perform Liberace before, but never like this! For the first time, Liberace will be backed by a live orchestra, our own BRAVO Community Orchestra and BRAVO youth! The BCO will be conducted by Bo Ayars, who not only serves as David’s music director, but was also the music director for the real Liberace (or Lee as his friends called him).

So down with stuffy fundraisers. Don your best sparkles and sequins and join us for a high energy night to celebrate and support BRAVO Youth Orchestras.

Dinner and Gala.

Join us for a full evening of celebration. Start off with cocktail hour in the lounge followed by dinner in the auditorium while we share the impact of our program and feature some of our young artists. After dinner, your table has the best seat in the house for the Liberace and BRAVO concert! Tickets will start at $150.

Concert only

Join us later in the evening for a cocktail hour in the lounge then take your seat in the Kaul’s comfy theatre seating for the Liberace and BRAVO concert! Concert only tickets are $45.
