Transforming Community Through The Arts
BRAVO Youth Orchestras is on a mission to support students from the most challenging backgrounds by providing them with access to mentorship opportunities via the arts. Over the years, BRAVO has revamped its programming to ensure that it is not only living up to its core values but that it is truly making a difference in the lives of its students and the communities they call home. Since 2013, we have transformed the community we serve by bringing music to hundreds of children in low-income schools who previously did not have access to music. As compared to their peers in the same schools, BRAVO students have been reported to have better attendance, higher reading and math scores, and fewer behavior referrals.
Your support to our organization is greatly appreciated and truly helps drive home social change in the North Portland communities that need it most. Furthermore, it helps us expand our goals of bringing more rigorous and dynamic arts programs to our communities while setting a solid foundation for our students’ success as well as the organization’s growth. Instruments
We welcome donations of student-sized instruments in good condition that can be used by our students. We are currently accepting donations of 1/4 or 1/2 size cellos, trumpets, and trombones.
